Where you will fit in:
The ideal person for this role has designed and developed high-quality front-end user interfaces for a variety of web applications. You should enjoy figuring out how to make innovative features work well for end-users in a variety of browser and mobile contexts. You should be familiar with innovative DWeb and Web 3.0 ideas and have the drive to explore uncharted and rapidly evolving p2p open source technology. You are passionate about creating beautiful and pixel-perfect honed web apps with deeply satisfying UX.
You will be a great fit if you willingly accept responsibility and perform expected and unexpected tasks as needed, and if you demonstrate initiative and tenacity– exerting extra effort when necessary to get the job done.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver reliable, useful, intuitive customer-facing websites.
Create APIs and developer documentation so other devs can interface with ops systems
Coordinate with UI/UX and product dev leads to design and iterate on new and existing web apps to support changing workflows.
Build solid user experiences that interface with complex APIs and use third party SDKs.
Have an attention to security and reliabilty and be responsive to feedback from team members.
Be self-driven and motivated to deliver clean solutions that meet and sometimes exceed requirements
Needed Qualities, Skills or Experience:
Relentless resourcefulness, ownership mindset, and a proven record of taking ideas from conception to live apps.
Self-generative and collaborative — is able to go beyond the call of duty, make decisions that are creative and strategic and can move things forward easily, even when processes or changes are in flux
Loves to learn — keeps up with industry best practices for web development and automation tools
Highly-experienced with JavaScript, NodeJs, and ES6 and/or Typescript.
Significant development experience in Vue, Meteor, React or similar.
Strong knowledge of web technologies including GraphQL, MongoDB, GitHub, HTML, and CSS.
Experience with UI component frameworks, maybe even experience rolling your own component library.
Knowledge of web application security.
Joyful and effective under the somewhat stressful conditions that can emerge in a pre launch start-up.
Preferred Background:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years of experience in fullstack or front end web development.
