Our AVEVA Platform Owners are responsible for maximizing the value created from the platforms they own.

This includes:

  • Own the domain of platforms from an early concept, technical strategy and planning perspective to lifecycle optimization
  • The Platform owner is accountable for a domain of business applications, in terms of effective and efficient operation. They ensure the application domain meets the requirements of all stakeholders including business, technology and operations.
  • The Platform owner will continuously engage and collaborate with the business function owners and all relevant stakeholders across the Enterprise to define, harmonise and manage the roadmap for their domain of platforms.
  • The Platform Owner is responsible for creating, maintaining and delivering the strategic roadmap and continual improvement plan for the platform – in association with all stakeholders. They provide subject matter expertise to facilitate and influence business planning from early concept to market and subsequent optimization.
  • The Platform Owner is expected to keep abreast of emerging capabilities for the platforms and the functions being supported
  • The Platform Owner is the focal point for the business from a strategy and execution perspective and must ensure the business objectives are front and center to the technical strategy defined.

All of the above is to be performed with a cross platform, cross enterprise, collaborative mindset that ensures AVEVA’s business functions and its customers are front and center in the decision making process.

Critical skills:

  • Drive design decisions that support the best customer/user experience and promote the overarching platform strategy
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels of the business
  • Support key SDLC events, including introductions, show and tells, huddles and retrospectives
  • Understand the existing platforms and their capabilities
  • Proactive identification of platform enhancements (including non-functional), lead business case approval process, facilitate communication of roadmaps and ensure stakeholder engagement
  • Ensure system designs support the goal of “right first time”, reduces time to market and / minimizes cost to deliver and support - while meeting agreed business requirements
  • Contribute to business case / ROI proposals in relation to platform enhancements
  • Review and approve estimation and impact assessment activities to support capacity and capability planning as well as key system documentation
  • Act as point of escalation for Platform related Defects and Major Incidents
  • Experience in various methods of software delivery (waterfall, agile)

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Vast experience of designing software systems
  • Technical background and willingness to work agnostically
  • Experience working with software delivery teams
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Strong decision-making capability
  • Ability to see the bigger picture

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enterprise level software delivery experience
  • Systems architecture experience
  • Experience of Agile or Waterfall delivery
  • Software development background

Commercial Operations Domain Qualifications:

  • Above experience in the Order management, Contract management and fulfillment technical domain inclusive of some or all of the following:
    • Docusign CLM (Spring CM)
    • Salesforce CPQ
    • Field tech fulfillment technologies
